Can the consultation and ongoing communication be handled in English?
Yes. Certified Tax Accountant WooJun Jeong handles consultations in English. English-language contracts and overseas headquarters documents can also be reviewed to the extent needed for Korean tax work.
Do I need to file in Korea if I am paid into an overseas bank account?
The bank account alone does not determine the answer. We review where the work was performed, the nature of the income, the contract and Korean tax residency before assessing the Korean filing requirements.
Can you advise before establishing a company in Korea?
Yes. We can review the proposed business, transaction and funding flows and explain the Korean bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and corporate tax process after establishment. Corporate registration, foreign investment reporting and visa matters require the relevant specialists.
Do you also advise on taxes in my home country?
Our engagement covers Korean tax matters. Filing obligations and tax treatment in another country should be separately confirmed with a qualified adviser in that jurisdiction.
What should I prepare for the first consultation?
Please share, where available, a description of the business, relevant contracts, expected revenue, payment flows, employee or expatriate information and existing Korean tax filings. We can identify the remaining documents after the initial review.
